SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER - MOTHER'S DAY, MAY 9th at 9:30 AM.  The Reflection, "Abide in Love," will focus on John 15:9-17.  John 1:14 says, "The Word became flesh and lived among us."  Jesus is that Word.  The Word pitched a tent or "camped out" among us and showed us the embodiment of God's love.  In Jesus' life, God's love walked and talked among the people of first-century Galilee and Judea.  And in this Sunday's Gospel Reading, Jesus is teaching his disciples how to walk in those shoes, too, especially once he is no longer walking around with them.  Jesus is preparing them and us to continue to dwell in that same love, to make room in the homes of our hearts for God's love to abide and to build our lives around that love.  Heather Watras will share a solo, "A Mother's Silent Prayer," by Sally DeFord.  WE WISH ALL MOTHERS AND THOSE WHO SERVE IN THE ROLE OF A MOTHER A VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.  PLEASE JOIN THE 9:30 AM LIVE-STREAM WORSHIP SERVICE ON OUR CHURCH'S FACEBOOK PAGE OR BY CLICKING THE FOLLOWING LINK:
