THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th FROM 7:00-9:00 PM - GRIEFSHARE SUPPORT GROUP MEETING IN THE UPPER FELLOWSHIP HALL of First Congregational United Church of Christ, 26 East Church Street, Fairport, NY.                 TOPIC:  "Challenges of Grief."  GriefShare is a faith-based support group for those recovering from the loss of a loved one or friend.  Light refreshments will be served.  ALL ARE WELCOME!

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22nd AT 9:30 AM - FIFTEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST.  The Message, "Servants of Praise," will be based on Psalm 113:1-9.  We serve God by praising God, praising God for who God really is and what God does among us, praising God in good times and bad, praising God all day long.  In our worship and participation in the life of our congregation, we are formed into those who know how to praise God in all things we do so that one day we might praise God for eternity. The Chancel Choir will sing an anthem, "Make a Joyful Noise" by John A. Behnke.  COME PRAISE GOD WITH US!  ALL ARE WELCOME!

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th FROM 9:00 AM -1:00 PM - SERVE HOMELESS GUESTS LUNCH AT THE SALEM NUTRITION CENTER IN ROCHESTER, NY.  Meet at 9:00 AM in the parking lot at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 26 East Church St., Fairport, NY, and we will carpool to the Salem Nutrition Center.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th AT 10:45 AM - COFFEE HOUR GUEST SPEAKERS FROM THE ROCHESTER REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT SERVICES: Mike Coniff, Executive Director & Michael Kelly, Principal Designer & Founder of the Kitimaya Project.  ALL ARE WELCOME!

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 6th AT 3:00 PM - BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS in the parking lot of First Congregational United Church of Christ, 26 East Church, Fairport, NY.  In celebration of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and ecology, we invite you to bring your pets to share in this special BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS SERVICE.  All types of pets are welcome!  Each animal will receive a special blessing.  A time of remembrance will honor our animal family members who are no longer physically present with us.  We ask that all animals are appropriately leashed or contained.  If it rains, this Service will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the church.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26th at 5:00 PM - ALL HALLOWS' EVE SERVICE.  Children, youth, and all ages are invited to attend a short Service.  Listen to scary stories from the Bible about The Witch of Endor, The Valley of Dry Bones & The War in Heaven and then enjoy some ghostly goodies and games after the Service.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27th - 3:30 PM - EASTMAN SCHOOL OF MUSIC ORGAN COMMUNITY CONCERT in the sanctuary of First Congregational United Church of Christ, 26 East Church Street, Fairport, NY.  The Eastman Organ Community Concert series features short organ recitals by Eastman students as part of the department's ongoing initiative to bring outstanding organ music to the Rochester community.  Concerts are open to the public, and a free-will offering will benefit the Eastman Organ Department student travel fund.  Come hear what the King of Instruments can do, played by the talented and hard-working students of Eastman.  A reception in the church's Fellowship Hall will follow the concert.
