Welcome to the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

We invite you to walk with us as we deepen our faith through worship, fellowship, outreach, music, study and more.

Our MISSION is to love God by serving others in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our VISION directs all our work:  United in Christ's love to be a blessing to our church and our neighbors.

Together we are the Church.  Come, grow in Christ with us!

Upcoming Services, Events & Opportunities to Serve

COVID-19 has continued to spread within our community, and has impacted several of our Church families.  Therefore, with the health and safety of our congregation and  our community as our highest priority, Church Council has decided to temporarily suspend our in-person 9:30 A.M. Public Worship Service, effective Sunday, January 24th.  We will return to in-person worship when conditions improve and the risk to our members and visitors is reduced.  Church Council will continually monitor the situation, and at a minimum will re-evaluate our decision during regular meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month.

This was a difficult decision and will no doubt be a disappointment to the small and faithful group that has been regularly attending since September.  We hope to see you all again soon, but until then, we'll be together on Facebook where our livestream will continue each Sunday morning at 9:30.

The Facebook link is: https://www.facebook.com/First-Congregational-United-Church-of-Christ-Fairport-NY-174043249305098 (you do not need to join Facebook to view the service). If you are having difficulty watching the Sunday service on Facebook, please let Jim Franzen know what type of problem you are experiencing. He can be contacted at jjf4711@gmail.com or 223-8074. Also, an audio Worship Service will be recorded and downloaded to our church’s website (www.fairportucc.org) each Sunday by 11:15 A.M.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25th - CHECK OUT THE PASTOR'S BLOG BIBLE STUDY on Mark 1:9-15.  Go to www.fairportucc.org and clck on Pastor's Blog.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28th at 9:30 AM - SECOND SUNDAY IN LENT.  The Reflection, "Walking A Way Nobody Wants to Go," will focus on Mark 8:31-38.  Lent is the season of the cross.  Therefore, Lent is a good time for the Church to gather to be taught by Jesus, even if the truth he teaches is a difficult truth to receive.  Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, a savior we did not expect.  A suffering Messiah?  The thought is inconceivable.  Jesus loves us enough to teach us, to challenge us, and to love us into the truth.  When we walk with Jesus, we walk the way of the cross.  Jesus loves us enough to go to the cross for us.  Jesus also loves us enough to invite us, even us, to walk a way that few want to travel.  Heather Watras will share a Solo, "Holy Is The Lord," by Sally Deford.   PLEASE JOIN THE 9:30 AM LIVE-STREAM WORSHIP SERVICE ON OUR CHURCH'S FACEBOOK PAGE:
