Welcome to the website of First Congregational United Church of Christ. We are always delighted to welcome first time worshippers. We invite you to walk with us as we deepen our faith through worship, fellowship, outreach, music, study and more. Together we are the Church. Come, gow in Christ with us.
Our church will join in supporting Mary Magdalene Church in East Rochester during their week of hosting guests of RAIHN— October 25- November 1. We will oversee the guests on Friday October 30— from 4:30pm—Saturday October 31 at 10am. A sign up sheet with task explanations is posted in fellowship hall. There are tasks for hands on interaction with guest families and for support, such as baking dessert or preparing dinner. We ask that you prayerfully consider becoming involved in this important mission project of the church. There are also opportunities to help with clean up on Sunday afternoon November 1. If your heart is willing to serve we will find a way to involve you!!
Steve Smith, Karen Hamill and Pastor Tomi Jacobs-Ziobro are coordinating our involvement in RAIHN with the Mary Magdalene Church. If you have questions you may contact one of them.
Those with direct interaction with the guests need to go through an orientation— there is one more available before our week and day of supporting RAIHN.
Please RSVP at 506-9050 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend the upcoming orientation training onTuesday, October 13th at 6:30 pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church—4115 Dewey Ave
Eight out of ten people say they’d visit church if someone invited them! Sunday October 25th will be our INVITE A FRIEND TO CHURCH SUNDAY! We will have a pancake brunch following worship served up by members of the Board of Membership and our youth.
We ask that you try to think of at least 3 friends who don’t go to church or friends who you have not seen in this church for a while. Invite them! Call them on the phone, send them an email or note or invite them when you see them. You may also offer to pick them up and bring them to church.
