ALL SAINTS DAY:  Sunday, November 1, 2020 we will be celebrating All Saints Day by remembering the names of church members, loved ones, and friends who have passed away over the past year (Nov. 3, 2019 - Nov. 1, 2020) during the Prayers of the People Please email Vicki Sherry the name of your loved one or friend for whom you still grieve, and she will include their names in a Memorial List that will be included in the Nov. 1st Sunday Bulletin. Vicki Sherry's email address is vsherry.ucc@gmail.com. Names must be received by 9:00 am on Monday, October 26th.

CHRISTMAS GIVING:  There will not be any Christmas baskets this year due to Covid-19. Also, we will not have the Hillside Children’s Center Christmas tree. The agencies suggest monetary donations. Church members can send a check, made out to the church, and note Christmas Baskets, Hillside or both on the memo line. Please have donations into the church by 12/14/20.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:  Please help us pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child! Simple gifts-packed with love in Jesus' name-deliver hope and joy to children all around the world. Donations will be accepted during the month and can be brought to church on Sunday morning.  Donations must be received by November 15th and can be given to Crista Deniz or Christina Hartpence. The teen Sunday school class will be packing the shoeboxes on November 22. Some suggestions for donations are: Small toys such as yo-yos, jump ropes, toy cars or dolls,  socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, combs, brushes, toothbrushes, bar soap, pens, pencils, crayons, coloring books. FIRST  CHURCH BOOK CLUB will meet at 1:00 pm in the Snow Room on Monday, October 26th. We are reading The Only Woman In the Room, by Marie Benedict. Our discussion leader is Lyn Swanson. All are welcome.

PRAYER REQUESTS:  There will not be any prayer request cards in the pews. Please email your prayer requests and joys to Pastor Greg (revgregrup.ucc@gmail.com) by 8:00 on Sunday morning.

WEEKLY WORSHIP SERVICE: Although we have resumed live, in-person Worship Services, we will continue to provide a 9:30 am live-streamed Worship Service on our Facebook page. The link is: https://www.facebook.com/First-Congregational-United-Church-of-Christ-Fairport-NY-174043249305098 (you do not need to join Facebook to view the service). Also, an audio Worship Service will be recorded and downloaded to our church’s website (www.fairportucc.org) each Sunday by 11:15 A.M.

FACE MASKS ARE STILL AVAILABLE:  If you need a face mask, we have some available for free at church. If you need a fabric mask, please email Vicki Sherry at vsherry.ucc@gmail.com or call the church at 585-223-0224 and leave a voice message (include your name, address, phone number, and the number of masks you need). Pastor Greg or Jill O'Connor will deliver the mask in a Ziplock bag to your porch.

PERINTON FOOD SHELF:  Most needed items include canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and tomato sauce; jelly; gravy, mayonnaise; oatmeal; cooking oil; juice boxes; canned peas, carrots, and mixed vegetables; instant mashed potatoes; corned or roast beef hash; cake mixes; brownie mixes; muffin mixes; cookie mixes; frosting; coffee; bags of chips or pretzels; boxes of cookies, granola bars, or pop tarts; shampoo; and deodorant.
