MEAGER MEAL: Lent is a season for confession, penitence and introspection. Get your Lenten season off to a good start by joining us for our traditional Meager Meal on Ash Wednesday, 3/6 at 6:15pm. It will be followed by a Lenten Service at 7pm. The sign-up sheet is on the rolling bulletin board in Fellowship Hall.
EPISTLE DEADLINE: The deadline for the next Epistle Newsletter is this Thursday, February 21st.
USHERS ARE NEEDED: Three Ushers are needed for the New Church Year starting in June 2018. The term is for three years. Each usher is responsible for four different months during the year. At the beginning of the church year a twelve month schedule is provided so each usher will know the months that they are scheduled to work. All interested members should call Ed Johnston at 585-703-7046 for more details.
EUCHRE NIGHT: Do you like to play Euchre? Would you be interested in playing Euchre if the church held a Euchre Game night? If you are interested, please put your name on the Euchre Signup sheet located on the bulletin board.
NEW HYMNAL DEDICATION CAMPAIGN: Remember to purchase your dedications for our new hymnals. At only $20 per book, you can create a lasting memorial or honor for your loved ones. Visit our table in Fellowship Hall after the service this morning. Be sure to be a part of this wonderful endeavor!
BOOK CLUB: On Monday, February 25, at 1:00 p.m. we will meet to discuss Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman.
GAME NIGHT: Come join us at Game Night on March 16, from 7 to 9 pm in Fellowship Hall. Couples, friends, non-church members, anyone who enjoys playing games is invited. Bring your favorite board/card game and a snack to share. Dessert and beverages will be provided. Sponsored by the Membership Board. DID YOU KNOW…that you are able to direct your Required Minimum Distribution from your IRA to the Church as a Qualified Charitable Donation? If you are over 70 and ½, you can reduce your taxable income by making charitable donations to a qualified charity using all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution, if you cannot itemize on your taxes. The idea is that the donation does not show up as part of your tax liability. For more information, contact a member of the Endowment Committee, Sue Brooks, or your financial advisor.
SCOTTISH/IRISH DREAM FUNDRAISER TRIP: Sept 28-Oct 11, 2019; 14 Days, 23 meals. Motorcoach through Scotland to see Glasgow, Edinburgh, Isle of Skye & more; then take a ferry to Ireland to motorcoach to see Dublin, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher & much more. Overnight at Banratty Castle + a medieval farewell dinner! To date 16 people are signed up! We have a maximum of 25 spaces. LIGHT THE NIGHT: Thank you to Diana DeBruycker for keeping the steeple lights burning bright during the month of February in memory of her parents.
PERINTON FOOD SHELF: The most needed Items for December 2018 include cereal, oatmeal, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled juice, sugar, jelly, ketchup, mustard, salad dressing, canned hash, canned chili, canned beef stew and canned sloppy joe/Manwich. Also needed are shampoo and facial tissues.
