THE PERINTON FOOD SHELF needs for the summer are: Beverages: fruit juices and kid’s drinks, Condiments: ketchup, mustard. Desserts: cake mixes & frosting, brownie mixes, pudding. Fruit (canned): pears, fruit cocktail. Meals (canned): canned pasta, canned meats, canned stews, canned chili. Paper items: paper towels, toilet paper. Personal items: toothbrushes, shampoo, and deodorant. Sandwich Fixings: jelly, peanut butter. Starches: potato mixes, rice, spaghetti, stuffing mixes. Staples: flour, sugar, coffee, tea. As always, thank you so much for your donations.
FAIRPORT COMMUNITY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL invites you to join us for …Step Up and Go Green for Jesus…August 2nd—August 6th, 2010 - 9:00 AM-Noon. VBS will be held at Perinton Presbyterian Church. The Final Celebration will be on Friday August 6th, 2010 at 7:00 PM, also at Perinton Presbyterian Church. Fairport Community VBS is a ministry of the Ecumenical Ministries of Perinton, Inc. Student registration and volunteer forms are available in Fellowship Hall.
SALEM SOUP KITCHEN’S SUMMER CALENDAR. Volunteers can participate in lunch preparations any 2nd Monday of the month. Please arrive at Salem around 9:45 AM. Thanks for all those that help out.
THE MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE IS exploring the possibility of using Facebook as an outreach tool. We need to have someone who is willing to maintain a Facebook page for the church. The commitment is possibly 3-4 hours per week. If you are interested, please contact Maureen Campolieto, at 223-4498 or mcampolieto@frontiernet.net.
IT IS TIME FOR OUR ANNUAL FCUCC float to take place in the fourth of July Parade. We are in need of candy to distribute while riding on float. Candy that will not melt if it is hot would be greatly appreciated. Please leave at church, thanks, Maureen Campolieto.
THERE WILL BE NO CHILDREN’S CHAPEL on July 4 or September 5. Other than those dates, there will be Children’s Chapel during the summer.

FAIRPORT COMMUNITY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL invites you to join us for …Step Up and Go Green for Jesus…August 2nd—August 6th, 2010 - 9:00 AM-Noon. VBS will be held at Perinton Presbyterian Church. WANTED! Gently used mens and boys dress slacks, dress shirts and dress shoes. All items to be donated to City of Rochester Pathways For Peace Good Fellas Program. The items will be used by inner city teenage boys so that they can make a good first impression for job interviews.
THE RUMMAGE SALE IS COMING! The Rummage Sale is coming! Mark your calendars and clean out your closets for this bi-annual fundraiser scheduled for September 30, October 1, 2. Volunteers are needed to head this great event and help sorting and pricing sale items. Contact Crista Deniz (388-5952 or denizca@frontiernet.net) if you are willing to help.
EVENING CIRCLE’S last meeting of the year will be Monday, June 14, with our annual picnic. Location is Cathy Steffen’s house. Starting time is 6:30pm. Please bring a dish to pass and your place setting. A heartfelt thanks to Norma Harrington and Carol Moran for their willingness to be the chairpersons for next year Evening Circle. Thank you so very much. Norma and Carol are asking that you bring ideas for programs for the year 2010 to 2011. Ideas and thoughts will be shared at the picnic. See you there!!

CONGRATULATIONS AND FAREWELL TO OUR CHOIR DIRECTOR. Our choir director, Sarah Frook, has just graduated from the Eastman School of music with a degree in Master of Music in Conducting. We congratulate her on her accomplishment and have been able to receive the benefits of her talents as the director of our choir. It is also with sadness that we must bid farewell to Sarah. She has taken a position at St Catherine’s School in Richmond, Virginia. Sarah is from Virginia and will be close to her family and friends. There will be a special coffee hour recognition for Sarah after church on June 20. Please join Sarah and all the church family in this celebration and farewell for Sarah.
